General Health Measures

In all matters of health, CBE takes direction from Alberta Education and Alberta Health Services. Find out how you can reduce the spread and lessen the impact of illness in school communities.

Routine Immunizations

The CBE supports the AHS school-based immunization program.

It is important that you notify the school if your student is going to be absent or arrive late. Please report all absences using your email address on file in your MyCBE Account, email joanecardinalschubert@cbe.ab.ca

Include in the email:

  • Student’s Full Name
  • Grade
  • Date(s) and Length of Absences
  • Reason for the Absence

All absences reported by 2:00 PM will be entered in the computer. The “School Messenger”, automated phone system, will be programmed to call home any absences not covered by a phone call.

If you are not able to email please call the Attendance Line: 403-817-3600 Press 1

Learn more on our Attendance page.

Sudden Illness

The school is not permitted to dispense any medication to students. If a student becomes ill and is unable to attend class, the student should report to the Main Office where contact home and arrangement can be made with parents/guardians for the student to return home or seek medical attention
