Overflow Designation for New Grade 10 to Grade 12 Regular Program Students for Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School and Designation Change for Copperfield Students

Due to the continued rapid enrolment of new students at Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School, the school has now reached its capacity, which means we must introduce additional solutions to address the high enrolment. To address these space concerns, designation changes have also been made for students residing in the community of Copperfield beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Effective immediately, the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, new registrations from students living in the community of Copperfield will be overflowed to Lord Beaverbrook High School.
  • Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, students from the Copperfield community will be re-designated to Lord Beaverbrook High School.

Please see the notice from March 12, 2024 which provides more information on interventions taken to support a sustainable model of growth at JCS through the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

Our School

Regular Program

What is the Regular Program?

The Regular Program spans from kindergarten through grade 12, providing a comprehensive educational experience. In alignment with provincial standards, our curriculum not only integrates academics, arts, and physical education but also emphasizes tailoring the learning adventure to individual strengths and interests. We're all about inclusivity, providing special education resources to support diverse learning needs. Beyond the classroom, students dive into a world of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and community service, making every day exciting. We believe in teamwork, actively encouraging parental involvement through events like parent-teacher conferences, creating a collaborative and supportive educational atmosphere.

Alternative Program

Learning to Fit Each Student's Needs and Interests

Alternative programs provide a distinct educational experience by focusing on specific subjects or languages and engaging students with advanced learning methods or in unique classroom environments. These programs are designed to personalize education to meet students' learning needs and goals. Additionally, some alternative programs may be more flexible regarding schedule or structure, giving students greater control over their learning. Parental involvement is highly encouraged through activities such as parent-teacher conferences and school events.

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us.
