Cravens Café Closure

Cravens Cafe will be closed for service on Thursday, April 24 and will reopen on Monday, April 27.

Returning Grade 12 Applications

Returning Grade 12 Applications are due to the Main Office by Thursday April 30, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Students wishing to explore a fourth year of high school need to make an appointment with their student advisor and assistant principal. More information regarding this process can be found in the Fourth Years of High School administrative regulation 6093.

Awards

Premier's Citizenship Award
The Premier's Citizenship Award is for a grade 12 student who has contributed to their communities through public service and volunteering.  Specific information can be found on the Premier’s Citizenship Aware Website.

 One student from Joane Cardinal-Schubert will be chosen to receive this award. They will receive a certificate of recognition from the Premier and then be eligible to apply for 2 more awards worth up to $7,000.00. Interested students can apply here.

 We will also have an application QR code in the Student Success Centre and main office. Applications are due May 1.

School Fees

All school fees are now posted in PowerSchool. Please ensure that all fees are paid in a timely manner through the myCBE PowerSchool Portal. CBE offers many flexible payment options. If you have any questions, please contact our Business Manager Michelle Tremblay.

Summer School Information –

Summer school requests are open, and we would like to share important information and timelines to support planning for your student.

CBE Summer School Key Dates:

April 13 | 9:00 am - Summer School Requests Opened
April 30 | 4:00 pm - Summer School Requests Form Closes
May 1 | 4:00 pm - Deadline to submit CALM Consent Forms for Summer School
May 4–5 | JCS Student Advisors register students in summer school classes (if offered)
June 1–2 | Students and families are contacted to verify course registration 
June 25 | 4:00 pm – Summer School Course Withdrawal Deadline 

CBE Summer School Information:

The Summer School Request Form is linked on the SSC D2L Shell
QR Codes for the form are available in SSC and the Main Office
Students may request one course only
Courses are offered in both online and in-person formats
In-Person courses are offered at various locations and course offerings vary by location
Space is limited, and requested courses are not guaranteed

Alternative Summer School Options:

Families may also choose to register through other school boards. These programs offer equivalent credits and marks, and registering early may help secure a spot. Please note that parents/guardians are responsible for registering their child with these boards, as they are not affiliated with nor recommended by CBE or Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School. We are simply aware that they are currently or will be offering summer school courses soon:
