Graduation 2026 Update
Please see the Graduation 2026 March Message for the most recent Graduation updates including important information about buying Graduation 2026 Banquet tickets.
Novel Studies and Textbooks (S1)
All semester 1 novel studies and textbooks should have been returned to the 3rd Floor Learning Commons. Any outstanding books will be charged to your PowerSchool account if your student has not returned their book(s). To avoid these charges, please ensure that all books are returned.
JCS Outreach Council
The JCS Outreach Council is hosting our Tattoos 4 Teachers Fundraiser during lunch throughout the first week of March. Students can purchase temporary tattoos to tat participating teachers:
- $1 for one tattoo
- $4 for five tattoos (does not have to be all the same teacher)
All proceeds will support the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
After purchasing, tattoos will be delivered to students on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10 during class. Please note that: only on Tattoo Tuesday (March 10), students can tattoo the teachers they selected during all non-instructional times (before school, lunch, and after school).
June Diploma Exam Accommodations
Students scheduled to write a diploma exam in June who require the use of a cell phone for medical reasons (e.g., diabetes management) must submit a Unique Accommodations application to Alberta Education. Please contact Mr. Brown or Ms. Lloyd for additional information.
Returning Grade 12 Applications
Grade 12 students who are unable to Graduate with a High School Diploma or obtain a Certificate of Completion by the end of the 2025-26 School Year are welcome to apply to return for an additional year of high school. Students need to speak with their student advisors and assistant principals to discuss the application process. Further information regarding this process can be found on Fourth Years of High School administrative regulation 6093.
Jazz Café
JCS will be hosting Jazz Café featuring Instrumental and Vocal Jazz ensembles on March 18 at 7:00pm. Please use this link for advanced tickets.

Student Success Centre (SSC)
Course Registrations for next year!
Grade 10 & 11 students are asked to:
1- Return their course selection form with student and parent signatures. Forms can be handed in to the office or their period 2 teacher. If your student’s form is lost, you can find it on the JCS School Website – Guidance page.
2- Complete course selections on PowerSchool. The instructions for completing these course requests in PowerSchool can be found on the guidance page of the JCS website or the SSC D2L page that your student has access to.
Please have PowerSchool registration completed by March 16th, 2026.
For further details and instructions on course registration, please see the Guidance Page of the JCS School Website.
Are You ready to Graduate?
Grade 12 students are asked to:
1- Complete and sign the ‘Are you Ready to Graduate?’ form, which can also be found on the JCS Guidance page of the school website. They can be handed in to the office or Period 2 teacher.
2- Set up a MyPass account.
Instructions on how to do this can be found here, or on the Guidance page of the school website.
When setting up a MyPass account, it is critical that students use a personal email address, and not a CBE email address. All graduated students’ CBE email addresses will be deleted in August of 2026.
