YMCA Welcome
Welcome back to school!
My name is Crystal and I am the Outreach Supervisor at the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton and I just wanted to make families aware of the free lunchtime and after school programming that is held inside the Family Center across from the Library.
I run programs for the high school and young adult ages during the weekdays. This year I am incorporating more art activities, esports and a Lego club for after school. Programs run from 3:30-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30-4:15pm on Wednesday and 1:15-4:00pm on Fridays. This is just a welcoming fun space where students can interact with each other on a smaller scale, try new activities, meet new friends, enjoy snacks and build relationships with peers and staff from the YMCA. If students are interested, or parents want to register your child, please sign up online or in branch.
The course codes are: Lunchtime: 235870 After School: 235871
Through the Tutoring Table Program, YMCA Calgary offers free tutoring services to vulnerable youth ages 14 to 21. As a part of the United Way’s All in for Youth initiative, the program aims to remove the financial barrier of private tutoring to assist students in passing their registered math courses. Students are selected to participate in the program based on financial need, academic need, and the motivation to attend weekly sessions.
Courses supported include:
• Math 15, 10-C, and 10-3
• Math 20-1, 20-2, and 20-3
• Math 30-1 and 30-2
• Science 10, 20, and 30
• Physics, Chemistry, and Biology 20 and 30

Important Note-The YMCA has 4 core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty and we encourage the youth to abide by these while in and around the facility as well as in their community. This is a shared space with families, young kids, seniors and those with diverse needs. We request you speak with your kids about not vaping or smoking anything in the facility including the bathrooms or within 7.5 meters of any entrance. Any illegal activity will result in fines by Peace Officers or Police. The parking lot between the school and the YMCA is 30-minute parking only. No students can park here at any time during the week, and parent drop-offs are not allowed. The vehicle will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense. The lower parking lot is also off limits unless they pay to park there. The owner may be ticketed if there is no payment received.
We encourage the students to enjoy the time they are here, and for everyone to have fun, we ask that they respect the space and others.
I look forward to building positive relationships with your students and watching them grow and succeed.
Crystal Smith,
Outreach Supervisor

Student Parking Passes for 2025-26
Due to ongoing construction in the parking lot, parking passes will not be required until later in the semester. Students requesting parking passes are asked to inquire at the main office and once available, will be provided on our current student list.
A parking fee appearing in the MYCBE account is confirmation that they will receive a pass. Once the online payment is complete, they will be issued a parking pass through the Business Office. Parking fees include GST, and are as follows:
· Full Year (Sept to June) $50
· Semester One (Sept to Jan) $25
· Semester Two (Feb to June) $25
Grade 11 & 12 students have priority for purchasing a JCS parking pass.
