Mental Health Supports for youth through The Summit
Alberta Health Services’ The Summit is a new one-stop resource and support for Calgary youth struggling with mental health challenges. This new support alternative opened in spring 2023 and is tailored to meet the mental health needs of all youth under 18 by giving them direct access to on-site assessment and therapy. Walk-in counselling services are available for anyone under 18 years of age and their families. Additionally, these walk-in services do not require a referral! The Summit also offers therapeutic support through a day hospital and community-based treatment.

- Round 1: Registration for on-line learning will open for Grade 12 students only on December 14, 15, & 18. This registration is to target Grade 12 students who require a course for graduation (not upgrading). If a Grade 12 student needs a specific course online for graduation, they must make an appointment with their Student Advisor in the Student Success Centre on December 14, 15 or 18 to register for the course. This will be followed by uploads every subsequent Thursday until course capacity is reached, and course registration will be closed. For a full listing of Grades 10-12 courses offered at CBe-learn, along with descriptions of each, please visit the senior high pages on our website.
- Round 2: Registration reopens for all remaining requests on January 9, 2024. Students wishing to register for an online course for the second semester must make an appointment with their Student Advisor in the Student Success Centre beginning January 9. Once registration in a course has reached capacity, CBe-learn will close registration for that course.
