Elevator Passes 

If students have an elevator pass signed out, please ensure it is returned to the Business Office when they have completed their courses before the end of the semester. 

Student Fees 

All student fees are posted in MyCBE, please ensure they are paid before the school year ends.  

Yearbooks 

The yearbooks have arrived and are being picked up in the main office. If a yearbook has been ordered and not paid for, please pay using your MyCBE account prior to picking up your yearbook. Please ensure that all books are picked up before the end of the school year. There are no extras available for purchase.  

Learning Commons 

All overdue books are now being charged to students, please check MyCBE

If overdue books are returned the charges will be reversed so, please look around your homes and lockers for missing books. 

All novel studies should now be returned unless they are needed for diplomas. 

Please see Ms. Beauchamp to extend due dates. 

All textbooks need to be returned the day of the exam. 

There will be a library cart outside the third floor learning commons and outside the office during exams for book returns. 

YMCA Tutoring Table Summer Clubs  

Free Math Tutoring

Is your student is thinking of taking math in summer school or looking to prepare for next semester? Free math tutoring for high school students ad mentorship opportunities available July 2 to August 8. 

Locations include Shawnessy YMCA, Saddletown YMCA and online over Zoom.

Summer Campus Tours: 

YMCA Tutoring Table will be visiting various post-secondary institutions around Calgary to give students an insight into post-secondary life and the programs available. Students will get a chance to tour a post-secondary campus in Calgary, visit various facilities/labs unique to that school, learn about the application process and ask questions. Space is limited to 30 students per trip.  

  • July 5 - SAIT 
  • July 19 - University of Calgary 
  • August 9 - Mount Royal University 
  • August 16 - Bow Valley College 

Lunch and bus tickets are included (free).

MyCBE/PowerSchool Portal  

MyCBE/PowerSchool viewing of the class Grade is disabled effective Friday, June 14 to allow teachers to enter report card comments and marks. Viewing of Term 4 marks will be enabled on June 27. 

Celebrations 

JCS Grade 11 student earns a prestigious internship at U of C this summer: 

Congratulations to Grade 11 student, Rayyan, on being selected for the University of Calgary Alberta Innovates High School Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) program internship.  Rayyan will be working alongside university professors and researchers in the field of neuroscience, exploring the impact of the cardio-vascular system on brain health this summer.   Congratulations to Rayyan!   More information about the HYRS program can be found HERE

Level Up Calgary 

Congratulations to Level up Calgary Winners Karem A., Royce M., Mo S. and Jack C., as well as finalist Owen B. Brandon L. and Tomas S..  This season’s competition challenged participants to create safe, accessible and inclusive public spaces that celebrate diversity, equity and unity within Calgary.  More information about Level Up Calgary can be found HERE
