Graduation Photos

Graduation photos began on October 26 and run through until November 3. Students are welcome to bring props such as sports equipment. Animals are not allowed in the building for photos. If you would like to include a pet, please contact Lifetouch directly to book an appointment at their studio. If you haven’t booked your students graduation photo, please book through Prestigeportraits.ca.

Halloween Costumes

Students are welcome to wear costumes on Halloween, but they cannot be inappropriate, gruesome, have weapons, or have anything covering their faces to obscure students’ identities.

Parent PowerSchool Portal - Term 1 Reporting

MyCBE viewing of the class Grade is disabled effective Monday, October 30 to allow teachers to enter report card comments and marks. Viewing of Term 1 marks will be enabled on November 8.

Parking Pass

Students parking in the student lot require a parking pass. The passes are available for pick up in the business office once the application has been submitted and fees have been paid.Any students who did not receive an email with the pass link, can contact Linda Kowalchuk.  

Information from the Student Success Centre

Every student at JCS is enrolled in the Student Success Centre (SSC) D2L shell. Lots of valuable information will be posted there. Students are encouraged to log in and keep up to date with the available information regarding post-secondary applications, university open houses and scholarships. Students should also review the monthly calendar where various upcoming post-secondary events will be posted.

Cosmetology

Cosmetology Client Service night returns Thursday, November 2 from 3:30-7:00pm. Students are performing haircuts, , perms, manicures and facials. Please visit the Cosmetology lab or call 403-817-3600 Ext 5 to book.

Craven Café

Craven's menu items contain chicken and ground beef Halal products.
